WorkPlace Connections for Ukrainian Refugees
Located at 8044 SE Harold Street, the SE Works WorkPlace Connections Program specializes in supporting Ukrainian refugees who meet the eligibility requirements under the U4U resettlement program and who are age 18 years old and above. Each participant is paired with a Career Coach to assist with person centered case management services, and provide 1:1 support towards their individualized employment plan and goals.
Walk-ins are welcome Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

The services we offer include:
Credential Evaluation
A review and assessment of your educational and professional qualifications will be completed by your Career Coach towards potential employment opportunities, and to design a person centered service plan of employment. On-going support is given to each Client for re-credentialing or recertification if needed towards their ultimate employment outcome goal.
Resume Building
Your previous and current skills, education and professional experience is summarized into a glowing positive resume with the help of your Career Coach. The resume building is an essential part of career mapping, to review past experience and how it applies to positions and opportunities that you are currently interested in pursuing.
Networking
While working with your Career Coach, and reviewing all areas of support you may be in need of, the Career Coach will assist with outreach and networking with potential employers as well as other support service agencies in order to meet your needs. SE Works offers a wide range of services under one umbrella, including cost-free employment certification programs. Your Career Coach will assist with connecting to these programs, as well as networking with outside resources towards your employment goals.
Job Search Strategy
The Career Coach will work with you to best strategize your job search plan. Every person has their own communication style, strength and skill level. As a Client you will received 1:1 support with how best to search for a job that matches your individual skill set and communication style. You may find you need support with access to transportation for job searching and the application process, our program can help with this and provide transportation resources for you.
Skill Enhancement
As a WPC program Client you bring a strong set of skills with you to the program, and your Career Coach will work with you to enhance those skills towards your career goals. For example, you may be multi-lingual or have computer literacy skills, but want to improve in these areas. The Career Coach will help you with resources for further language development or computer literacy advancement. Whatever your skills are, there is a job that will match what you bring to the table!
Interview Preparation
The interview process can be daunting and overwhelming, your Career Coach is here to help you prepare so that you can present your best during the interview process. This may include interview practice, assistance with how to answer difficult questions, and how to navigate the work force in American Culture. When you receive the call to interview, you will be prepared and confident throughout the process!
Job Placement Assistance
Once you are employed you can remain in the WPC program for on-going support and assistance, meeting monthly to receive guidance with continued questions for professional development and training, as well as further resources For example, child care may become a need that the Career Coach can assist with referrals for so that the Client can complete their work hours successfully going forward. Additionally, if the initial job you take is not your ultimately desired position, the Career Coach will continue to work with you to further advance your skills and continue to apply for other positions of interest. We will continue to work with you to provide case management support and ensure that you have what is needed to be successful and stable in your new position.
